EVENT DETAILS
Our annual Shining Stars Award Dinners, sponsored by DeSales Media Group, will take place on Friday, September 28th and Friday, October 5th, 2012. To accommodate the nearly 800 attendees expected to attend these dinners, the schedule of apostolate honorees for each night is as follows:
September 28th Honorees
Nigerian, Filipino, Irish, Mexican, Ghanaian, Korean, Cuban, Brazilian, Peruvian, Chinese (Queens), Panamanian, Colombian, Haitian, Vietnamese, Arabic Speaking
October 5th Honorees
Lithuanian, VBCC, Pakistani, Polish, Ecuadorian, Puerto Rican, Czech/Slovak, Italian, West Indian, Guatemalan, Indian Latin Rite, Indonesian, El Salvadorian, Dominican Republic, Chinese (Brooklyn)
Both dinners will be held at Gargiulo’s Restaurant, located in the Coney Island section of Brooklyn at 2911 West 15th Street, between Mermaid & Surf Avenues. The event will begin with cocktails at 6:30 pm, followed by dinner at 7:30pm. The Shining Star Award Dinners also serve as a fundraiser to support the immigration, housing, employment, health education, and pastoral efforts of Catholic Migration Services.
